Versa Integrity Group is searching for Heat Treat Technicians for immediate hire. The right candidate should include their documented class time and OJT, as well as any and all certifications to be considered for employment. This position is responsible for directing operations on shift to ensure Safety, Quality, Throughput, and Costs for Turbine Departments: Heat Treat, Saw, Blocker, & Clean and Grind operations. The supervisor ensures that parts are processed per the procedures to ensure the best possible quality and schedules are maintained to ensure forging operations and machining operations have a steady flow of product.

Heat Treat is considered a special process by our customers. This means that our customers trust us at every step of the manufacturing process to follow established procedures, guidelines, technical requirements, and published instructions; deviation can have severe, negative consequences to our business, and to our customers businesses. Leaders in this department must be able to do the right thing under pressure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Area Safety Requirements
  • Hold Monthly / Daily Safety Meetings
  • Departmental and Operating Procedures
  • Quality product
  • Housekeeping inspections
  • Safe work environment
  • Employee absence reports, OT list
  • Maintain work force attendance to meet requirements
  • Queue Report and Forging Schedule
  • Maintain and support TOC requirements
  • Control costs on shift
  • Effective use of supplies and materials

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

3-5+ yrs experience in heavy industry or military company grade leadership. Entry level technical degree (B.S.) is preferred, consideration will be given to candidates that have a proven aptitude for understanding complex systems or highly mechanical environments. Supervisory experience in a union environment is helpful. Physical environment is techno-industrial, requiring a blend of computer/program interface as well as the ability to operate in an austere and challenging heavy industrial environment. Requires excellent human relations skills and ability to organize, delegate, problem solve, and train personnel to work within the area. This position must be someone who can drive change and work with others to continuously improve processes. Ability to operate in high-pressure environment. Self-starter required; must be able to formulate successful strategies with minimal guidance and general guidelines.
