What is Plant Mechanical Integrity (MI) Inspection?
Mechanical Integrity (MI) refers to the management of process equipment to verify that the equipment is working properly, and in a safe manner. Mechanical Integrity programs constitute testing and inspection, and are founded on the tenets of Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP). The entire life cycle of a processing equipment piece is observed and tested to reduce the likelihood of equipment failure.
Advantages of Versa MI Inspection
Regularly inspecting and testing process equipment from development to installation offers an opportunity to inhibit the probability of damage mechanisms occurring. Furthermore, the ability to possibly extend the useful life of this equipment can substantially reduce costs for the facility.
